IDEAL Brake Parts are formulated and manufactured in Canada to provide the best in safe, reliable stopping power. Every brake pad is produced at our industry-leading facility in Guelph, Ontario and molded using enhanced technology, computer monitored presses, and high-quality raw materials.

Facility

Our 110,000 square foot facility includes a large research and development lab with an in-house dynamometer. These facilities allow us to continually test our formulations and raw materials, and complete repeatability testing of every batch to ensure consistency and quality.

Safety

Your safety is our top priority. At IDEAL, we manufacture our products to the most stringent of quality standards. All IDEAL brake pads are manufactured in an ISO9001:2015, ISO14001, and OHSAS compliant facility.

Environment

IDEAL Brake Parts are designed to minimize impact on the environment and deliver environmentally-friendly friction. That’s why our formulations are (and have always been) 100% asbestos-free and we already meet 2025 copper compliance, by removing all copper from our pads.

BEEP® Testing

Did you know there are no safety standards for disc brake pads in Canada? That’s why IDEAL Brake Parts has joined the Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC) to develop BEEP®-tested products. BEEP® is a registered trademark of the Brake Standards Association.

We voluntarily submit our aftermarket disc brake pads to undergo BEEP® testing and meet or exceed OE braking standards. You can rest easy with the peace of mind that comes from knowing you are using a high-quality, third-party tested product.

What is BEEP® Testing?

The Brake Effectiveness Evaluation Procedure (BEEP®) is a third-party certification that has been established by the Brake Manufacturers Council (BMC). The BMC is an operating council of the Automotive Aftermarket Suppliers Association (AASA), a division of the Motor & Equipment Manufacturers Association (MEMA).

The BEEP® testing process ensures that replacement brake pads do not reduce a vehicle’s overall brake performance and quantifies a brake product’s performance relative to the Federal Motor Vehicle Safety Standards (FMVSS) 105 & 135 on a specific vehicle. These are aftermarket brake manufacturing standards that have been established in the United States. No comparable standards exist in Canada.
